Anastasia Xydeas-Kikemenis studied Microbiology and Genetics at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Saarland (Germany). She pursued her postgraduate studies in the fields of Public Health, Sociology of Health, Toxicology and Ergomotricity.
She has participated in educational seminars on Occupational Health in France and Germany. She acquired the title of trainer of trainers of the Dotte-Manutention Method of patient’s handling in France, for which she is scientifically responsible for Greece.
From April 1990 to September 2018, she worked as a research and teaching fellow at the National School of Public Health, coordinating the postgraduate programs on Environmental and Occupational Health. Since September 2018, she has been elected as Associate Professor of Occupational Health, while from May 2019 she is a Faculty member of the Department of Public Health Policy of the School of Public Health of the University of West Attica.
She has participated in Greek and European epidemiological studies and in the elaboration of research and educational programs. Since 1994, she teaches topics related to Health and Safety at Work to Nursing Schools, hospitals and Municipal Authorities; she undertakes the realization of occupational risk’s special training programs; she supervises many theses. She is member of the relevant Committees for postgraduate students’ selection, evaluation of educational programs and study Guides.
