Eleni Kornarou has studied Public Administration and Political Sciences at Pantios University, School of Political Sciences and law at National and Kapodistriakon University of Athens, Law School. Her post-graduate education concerns Social Medicine and Methodology of Research at Nat. Kapodistriakon University of Athens. Ph. D. earned from the same University, in 1992. She has Master of Science in Health Care Services Administration at National School of Public Health and a post-graduate diploma of Criminology at Pantios University, School of Political Sciences. Foreign languages English, French, Italian. 

She was Lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, at National School of Public Health up to 2017. She organizes and teaches in general practitioner’s education in Epidemiology and Biostatistics as part of general medicine’s specialty. Her educational issues concerns Epidemiology, Epidemiological Methods and Health Care Services, Health Care, Infectious Diseases, Chronic Diseases, Public Health.

Kornarou has also had a public presence through her writing, lectures, publications, articles in scientific periodicals and books, books chapters in Greek and English, translations in English, edited in Greek and foreign books. Kornarou has Participation in Greek and International Conferences, in Round Tables, in national and EU Programs, in the Congress Organizing Committee, Her research connects epidemiological and Public Health matters, in Greece and in collaboration with European, Asian, African countries.

In 1996, she received 2nd Award of original research work in 8th Panhellenic Conference of AIDS, Hellenic Society for the Study and Treatment of AIDS, Athens, 14-16 November 1996. In 2010, she received Poster Award 2nd Bulgarian – Greek Scientific Conference “Public Health and Health Care in Greece and Bulgaria, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
